Mets vs. Brewers Game 47 Recap

RHP Noah Syndergarrd


The New York Mets lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 tonight in 10 inning and dropped their record to 25-22. In the top of the second inning, SS Amed Rosario drove in the first run of the game with a solo homer. CF Michael Confoto also hit a solo homer in the top of the fourth inning. After that, the bats went quiet until the top of the ninth inning. Conforto and catcher Devin Mesoraco both walked with two outs and then pinch-hitter Jose Bautista hit an RBI single to tie the game.

RHP Noah Syndergarrd started out with a scoreless bottom of the first inning, but gave up a run in the bottom of the second inning on a solo homer to 1B Travis Shaw. Syndergarrd gave up two more runs in the bottom of the third inning on a RBI single to LF Christian Yelich and an RF to Shaw. He settled down after that and pitched three more scoreless innings. His final line was thee runs on six hits with eight strikeouts in six innings. RHP Seth Lugo came in next and pitched two scoreless innings in the bottom of the seventh and eighth innings. RHP Robert Gsellman followed and pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth inning, but struggled in the bottom of the tenth inning. LHP Jerry Blevins had to come in, but walked Yelich to load the bases, and then RHP A.J. Ramos walked Yernan Perez to end the game.

The Mets next game is tomorrow afternoon against the Brewers at 4:10 P.M.
