The New York Mets announced today that CF Juan Lagares will be out for the season after an MRI revealed he has a complete tear of his big toe plantar plate. Lagares will have surgery next week and has been placed on the 10-day disabled list. He was hitting .339 with a double and triple in 30 games prior to his injury.
