Noah Syndergaard To Go On DL

RHP Noah Syndergarrd


New York Mets RHP Noah Syndrergaard is going back on the disabled list after two starts with hand, foot, and mouth disease. The team believes he contracted it at a youth camp. Syndergaard is expected to miss only one start and will out the next seven-to-10 days. RHP Corey Oswalt will start in his place on Wednesday against the Padres. Syndergaard has a 6-1 record, 2.89 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 83 strikeouts in 74 2/3 innings pitched. Oswalt has appeared in five games (four starts) with a 0-2 record, 5.64 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 15 strikeouts, and a 1.95 batting average in 22 1/3 innings pitched.
