RHP Jacob deGrom

The New York Mets lost to the Miami Marlins 5-2 tonight and dropped their record to 32-48. RHP Jacob deGrom gave up three earned runs in six innings.with six strikeouts and one walk. deGrom started out well with five scoreless innings and gave up three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. He picked up his fourth loss on the season. RHP Robert Gsellman came in next and gave up two unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. RHP Anthony Swarsak pitched a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning.
RF Jose Bautista drove in the first run of the game with a solo homer in the top of the second inning. 3B Todd Frazier hit a solo homer in the top of the sixth inning. The other bats were quiet for the rest of the game and were 0-4 with runners in scoring position and left five runners on base.
The Mets next gane is at 1:10 P.M. tomorrow afternoon against the Marlisn in the final game of the series.
