The New York Mets have signed vetreran outfielder Austin Jackson to a major league deal. Jackson has struggled this year hitting only .218 for the San Francisco Giants. He was traded from the Rangers to the Giants earlier this month. Last year, for the Cleveland Indians, he had a strong season with an .869 OPS for the Cleveland Indians. Jackson can play both corner outfield positions and will help provide a right-handed bat in the absence of Yoenis Cespedes and Juan Lagares.
