The New York Mets are calling up infielder Jeff McNeil from Triple-A Las Vegas. McNeil has spent time this season between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Las Vegas. He hit .327 in Double-A and .368 in Triple-A/ McNeil was drafted in the 12th round of the 2013 draft and has shown to be a versatile player playing second base, third base, shortstop and left field this season. He is not currently on the 40-man roster, but there is an open roster spot following the Jeurys Familia trade. Yoenis Cespedes might be placed on the DL as the corresponding move. McNeil will most likely play 3B to begin his ML career.
