RHP Jacob Rhyme came in next and pitched a scoreless top of the eighth inning. RHP Jeurys Familia pitched a scoreless top of the ninth inning.
The offense got off to a fast start in the bottom of the first inning after 2B Asdrubal Cabrera doubled and 3B Jose Bautista hit an RBI single.
