Seth Lugo to move to starting rotation

New York Mets manager Luis Rojas announced after the game tonight that RHP Seth Lugo has moved been to the starting rotation and will get the start tomorrow night at the Marlins. Lugo has done well in the bullpen, but has always wanted to start since he was called up in 2016. He profiles better as a starter since he has trouble pitching back-to-back games in the bullpen with his arm trouble. LHP Steven Matz is going to the bullpen after his struggles this year with an ERA of 9.00. Without Lugo in the bullpen, RHP Jared Hughes, RHP Brad Brach, and LHP Chasen Shrieve will all take on greater roles along with LHP Justin Wilson, RHP Jeurys Familia, RHP Dellin Betances and RHP Edwin Diaz which will help create a lot of depth late in games and give Rojas options to go to.
