New York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano was placed on the 10-day IL today with a grade-two abductor strain. Cano left the game early last night after went 2 for 2 with 3 RBI's. He was hitting well prior to his average with a .412 batting average and a 1,020 OPS which is ranked 15th in the National League. Cano will eligible to return on August 14th.
In other injury news, 2B/LF Jeff McNeil and SS Amed Rosario are both day-to-day after McNeil was scratched from the starting lineup with back tightness. Rosario left last night's game with quad tightness.
