The New York Mets promoted prospect catcher Ali Sanchez to the big leagues today. Sanchez hit .261 with 1 homer and 33 RBI's in 92 minor league games last year. He is known more for his defense, but has showed improvement offensively. Sanchez is considered to one of the team's top prospects and ranked in the top 30 in their minor league system.

Outfielder Yoenis Cespedes was placed on the restrictive list as the corresponding roster move after he announced yesterday he would opt out of the 2020 season.
