New York Mets RHP Jacob deGrom won't make his start tonight in Philadelphia against the Phillies since he is dealing with a stiff neck. DeGrom felt discomfort in his neck in his last start on Sunday against the Miami Marlins and it continued to linger throughout the week and bothered him during a bullpen session yesterday. He had an MRI which didn't show any structural damage. deGrom could have pitched tonight, but decided to play it safe. RHP Walker Lockett make the start in place of deGrom. Lockett has been on the injured list (IL) with back stiffness since Opening Day.
