Mets RHP Michael Wacha (Credits to MetsMerizedOnline.com)

New York Mets RHP Michael Wacha was placed on the injured list (IL) today with right shoulder inflammation. Catcher Ali Sanchez was recalled from the Alternative Training Site to replace Wacha's spot on the roster. Wacha missed a month in 2016 with same injury. His next turn in the rotation was on Wednesday night against the Nationals. His replacement hasn't been announced yet, but it could be RHP Corey Oswalt or RHP Franklyn Kilome. Wacha did well in his first start against the Red Sox allowing one run in five innings. In his last two starts, he's allowed nine runs in five innings. Hopefully Wacha won't be out too long since he will needed to fill that 4th starter spot in the starting rotation.
