The New York Mets lost to the Seattle Mariners 4-0 tonight at T-Mobile Park for their second consecutive loss and dropped their record to 61-56.

LHP Sean Manaea was unable to follow up the dominant performances in his last starts after he gave up a lead-off double to CF Victor Robles who then stole third and a RBI double to the following hitter to LF Randy Arozarena.

Two batters later, Manaea gave up another RBI double to 1B Justin Turner and two batters later, a RBI single to RF Mitch Haniger.

Manaea was able to go only two more innings after that and was taken out after the bottom of the third due to a high pitch count.

His final line was three innings, four hits, three runs, walks and three strikeouts.

RHP Huascar Brazoban followed with two scoreless innings in the bottom of the fourth and fifth.

RHP Reed Garrett made his return in the bottom of the inning being activated off the IL and had a dominant inning striking out the side.

RHP Phil Maton came on in the bottom of the seventh and gave up a RBI single to Turner.

LHP Danny Young threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth.

The Met offense was shutdown once again this time by RHP Logan Gilbert.

They managed just four hits and left four runners on base.

The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Sunday, August 11 at the Mariners on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball at 7:00 p.m.
