LHP Alex Young came on to get the last out in the seventh.

RHP Adam Ottavino and LHP Danny Young combined to pitch a scoreless bottom of the eighth.

The Met offense was held scoreless for the first six innings against RHP Jose Soriano, but then came alive in the top of the seventh.

LF Brandon Nimmo then walked to load the bases and DH J.D. Martinez came up next and delivered a grand slam for his 12th homer and second grand slam of the season.

In the top of the eighth, 3B Mark Vientos led off with a double, but was unable to move off second.
