New York Mets RHP Kodai Senga left his start early in the top of the sixth after he got an hamstring injury while trying to cover first base.

Senga was trying to catch a high throw from 1B Pete Alonso and fell down and was on the ground for several minutes before walking off on his own power.

He is heading to the injured list with a hamstring strain and will have an MRI on Friday.

Hopefully Senga will not be out too long since the Mets cannot afford to lose a pitcher of his caliber after he had five more scoreless innings on Thursday to lower his ERA to 1.47.
