The New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies 11-4 tonight at Citizens Bank Park to snap their seven-game losing streak and improved their record to 46-31.

The Met offense got on the board right away in the top of the first after LF Brandon Nimmo hit a solo homer.

After a scoreless top of the second, SS Francisco Lindor, Nimmo and RF Juan Soto hit back-to-back homers in the top of the third. It was the first time that Met hitters have hit back-to-back-back homers since October 4, 2022 against the Washington Nationals.

In the top of the fifth, Soto hit his second homer of the game.

In the top of the sixth, catcher Francisco Alvarez reached on an infield single with one out and two batters later, 2B Ronny Mauricio singled.

Lindor followed with a two-run double.

After a scoreless top of the seventh, DH Jared Young led off the top of the eighth with a homer and two batters later, 3B Brett Baty walked.

CF Tyrone Taylor followed with a single and two batters later, Nimmo walked to load the bases.

Soto came up next and broke the game open with a two-run single.

In the top of the ninth, catcher Francisco Alvarez capped off the scoring with a solo homer of his own.

RHP Griffin Canning got off to a rocky start in the bottom of the first after he gave up a RBI double to RF Nick Castellanos and a RBI ground-out to LF Max Kepler.

Canning was able to settle down after that with scoreless innings in the bottom of the second, third and fourth innings and then gave up a RBI single in the bottom of the fifth after SS Trea Turner led off with reaching on an error by CF Jeff McNeil. Two batters later Cannin gave up a RBI single 3B Alex Bohm, but did not allow any more runs  and came out after the bottom of the fifth with the lead intact.

Canning's final line was five innings, six hits, four runs, two walks and four strikeouts.

He picked up his seventh win.

RHP Huascar Brazoban followed with two scoreless innings in the bottom of the sixth and seventh.

RHP Ryne Stanek threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth.

RHP Chris Devenski closed it out with a scoreless bottom of the ninth.

The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Sunday, June 22 at the Phillies on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball at 7:10 p.m.
