Mets vs. Nationals Game 155 Recap

RHP Corey Oswalt


The New York Mets lost to the Washington Nationals 6-0 today and dropped their record to 72-83. RHP Corey Oswalt had a solid start allowing two runs on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts in five innings. Oswalt gave up a two-run homer to SS Trea Turner in the bottom of the third inning, but didn't allow any more runs and settled down nicely after that. LHP Jerry Blevins came in next in the bottom of the sixth and gave up a three-run homer to catcher Matt Wieters. RHP Tyler Bashlor followed and gave up a RBI double to RF Bryce Harper in the bottom of the seventh. RHP Tim Peterson threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning.

The offense was lifeless against Nationals starter RHP Austin Voth and had one hit in the top of the fourth inning on a single by LF Michael Conforto.

The Mets next game is tomorrow afternoon against the Nationals at 1:35 P.M.
