The New York Mets lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 7-1 tonight to snap their three-game winning streak and drop their record to 23-28. RHP Jacob deGrom got the start and had his worst outing of the season. deGrom went four innings and allowed seven runs on eight hits. He gave up five walks and had six strikeouts. LHP Josh Edgin came in next and pitched three scoreless innings. Edgin allowed two hits, had no walks and three strikeouts. RHP Neil Ramirez had two scoreless innings in the top of the eighth and ninth.
The only run the Mets offense was able to score was on a RBI double by LF Michael Conforto in the bottom of the ninth inning.
