Mets vs Braves Game 25 Recap

The New York Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves 7-5 tonight and improved their record to 11-14. LF Michael Conforto got the Mets offense off to a fast start with a leadoff homer in the top of the first inning. Conforto also had a 2 run single in the top of the fourth inning and ended up with 3 RBI's. 3B Jose Reyes added 2 more RBI's with a solo homer and groundout. 2B Neil Walker hit a RBI single. 1B T.J. Rivera also hit a RBI single.

RHP Robert Gsellmsn had trouble with his command all night and allowed five runs in five innings. Gsellman was still able to pick up his first win on the season. LHP Josh Edgin and RHP Hansel Robles combined to pick a scoreless bottom of the sixth inning. LHP Jerry Blevins pitched a scoreless bottom of the seventh inning. RHP Addison Reed pitched a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning. RHP Jeurys Familia pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth inning and recorded his second save on the season.
