Mets Bring Up Tyler Pill
The New York Mets announced earlier today that they have called up RHP Tyler Pill from Triple-A Las Vegas. In a corresponding roster move, the Mets sent RHP Rafael Montero down to Triple A-Las Vegas and moved RHP Seth Lugo to 60-day DL in order to make room for Pill on the 40-man roster. Pill had a 1.96 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 23 strikeouts in 46 innings for Las Vegas this year. In seven minor leagues, he has a 4.01 ERA and 1.30 WHIP.
