The New York Mets lost to the Miami Marlins last night to snap their one game losing streak and drop their record to 83-74. They remain a 1/2 game ahead of the San Francisco Giants and 1 game ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals for the first wild card spot in the National League. RHP Bartolo Colon allowed 7 runs on 8 hits in 2 1/3 innings. RHP Gabriel Ynoa came in next and pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings. RHP Rafael Montero pitched a scoreless inning. RHP Erik Goedell pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings. LHP Josh Edgin recorded the last out in the bottom of the seventh inning. RHP Jim Henderson pitched a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning.
The Mets offense managed only 3 runs on 7 hits. SS Asdrubal Cabrera hit a 2 run double. 1B Lucas Duda added a RBI single.
