DJ Stewart followed by getting hit by a pitch to load the bases and then SS Francisco Lindor drove in Taylor with a sacrifice fly.

In the top of the seventh, Bader walked with one out and then stole second.

Stewart and Lindor followed with walks to load the bases.

1B Pete Alonso then grounded into a fielder's choice to bring in a run.

In the top of the eighth, 2B Jeff McNeil drove in a much needed insurance run with a solo homer.

Quintana was able to get into the sixth inning and get into the groove.

His final line was 5.2 innings, five hits, one walk and four strikeouts.

RHP Drew Smith followed with a scoreless inning and picked up his first win.

LHP Brooks Raley had to come to pick up the last out in the bottom of the seventh.

RHP Adam Ottavino threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth.

RHP Edwin Diaz came on in the bottom of the ninth and committed an error and then walked Steer to start off the inning.

Diaz then got a ground-out from 1B Christian Encarnacion Strand for the second out of the inning after allowing a run.

Diaz came back to strike out RF Jake Fraley to close out the game for his first save of the season.
