The Met offense was held scoreless for the first two innings, but in the top of the third, SS Francisco Lindor came through with a two-run homer.
In the top of the fourth, RF Tyrone Taylor delivered with a solo homer.
In the top of the fifth, Taylor came through once again with a two-run double.
Later in the inning, 2B Jeff McNeil hit a RBI single.
In the top of the ninth, Lindor broke the game open with another two-run homer, his third and fourth RBI of the game.
LHP Sean Manaea threw 4.2 scoreless innings allowing four hits and four walks with six strikeouts.
Manaea was unable to get the win since he had to come out with two outs in the bottom of the fifth due to a high pitch count of 101 pitches.
RHP Reed Garrett followed and had another stellar outing allowing one run on two hits in two innings.
Garrett had four strikeouts and one walk.
He picked up his fourth win.
RHP Adam Ottavino followed with 1.1 scoreless innings.
RHP Edwin Diaz allowed one unearned run in the bottom of the ninth, but was able to pick up the last three outs.
The Mets are off tomorrow and return to action on Friday, April 26 back at home against the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:10 p.m.
