The New York Mets lost to the Atlanta Braves 3-2 tonight at Sun Truist Park and dropped their record to 59-68.
RHP Tylor Megill started out well with a scoreless bottom of the first, but in the bottom of the second, gave up a single to DH Marcell Ozuna and then a two-run homer to the following hitter LF Eddie Rosario.
Megill was able to settle down with scoreless innings in the bottom of the third and fourth, but then gave up a solo homer to Ozuna in the bottom of the fifth and was then taken out.
Megill's final line was 4.2 innings, eight hits, three runs, two walks and five strikeouts.
LHP Adam Kolarek followed with two scoreless innings.
RHP Reed Garrett threw a scoreless inning.
LHP Brooks Raley came in and got the last out in the bottom of the eighth.
The Met offense was held scoreless for the first five innings until the top of the sixth after DH Daniel Vogelbach hit a two-run homer.

They went 1-9 with runners in scoring position leaving six runners on base.
The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Wednesday, August 23 at the Braves at 7:20 p.m.
