The New York Mets lost to the Baltimore Orioles 10-3 tonight at Camden Yards for their fourth consecutive loss and dropped their record to 50-59.
LHP David Peterson got the start and had a solid outing throwing three scoreless innings.
RHP John Curtiss came in next in the bottom of the fourth and gave up a two-run single to former Met catcher James McCann.
LHP Josh Walker threw a scoreless bottom of the fifth.
RHP Phil Bickford gave up four runs in the bottom of the sixth on a RBI single by Ryan O'Hearn, two- double by McCann and sacrifice fly by DH Adley Rutchsman.
RHP Reed Garrett came on in the bottom the seventh and allowed four more runs on a three-run homer by 2B Jordan Westburg and a RBI single by McCann.
RHP Drew Smith threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth.
The Met offense was held scoreless for the first five innings until SS Francisco Lindor hit a two-run single in the top of the sixth.
Pinch-hitter Danny Mendick added a RBI ground-out in the top of the eighth.
The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Saturday August 5 at the Orioles at 7:05 p,m.
