RHP Jeurys Familia came in next and gave up a walk and double and was hurt by his defense later in the inning after 3B Jonathan Villar made a throwing error by a grounder by Adames. LHP Aaron Loup had to come in and was also let down by his defense after SS Francisco Lindor made a throwing error which allowed two more runs to score. RHP Heath Hembree threw a scoreless bottom of the seventh. LHP Brad Hand threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth. Lindor got the offense on the board early in the top of the first with a solo homer. After a scoreless top of the second and third, RF Michael Conforto led off the top of the fourth with a double and then 1B Pete Alonso doubled and 2B Javier Baez hit a two-run double. In the top of the sixth, Alonso walked with one out and then Baez singled. Villar struck out but then pinch-hitter Kevin Pillar hit a RBI single.
