The New York Mets announced prior to today's game that 3B J.D. Davis has been placed on the 10-Day IL with a sprained left hand.
CF Albert Almora Jr was designinated for assignment as corresponding roster move.
Davis had a difficult year staying healthy and went several times to the IL after he was hit on the left hand by Phillies starter RHP Chase Anderson on April 6th.
He made five starts in September.
Almora struggled offensively all year and hit only .115.
