Mets Recall Drew Gagnon and Option Chris Mazza

The New York Mets optioned RHP Chris Mazza today to Triple-A Syracuse. and recalled RHP Drew Gagnon today from Triple-A. Mazza has pitched in four games this year with a 5.19 ERA and 1.731 WHIP in 8.2 innings. Gagnon has appeared in 15 games this year with a 7.65 ERA and 1.650 WHIP in 20 innings. He has also made 12 starts for Syracuse with a record of 6-4 and 2.15 ERA and 1.042 WHIP in 71 innings.
