The Met offense was held scoreless for the first two innings, and in the bottom of the third, SS Francisco Lindor drove in a run with a solo homer.
The offense did not do much for the next few innings wasting scoring opportunities, but they came alive in the bottom of the seventh after pinch-hitter Pete Alonso hit a one-out double and two batters later, Lindor drove in his second run of the game with a RBI double.
In the bottom of the eighth, D.H. J.D. Martinez drove in the game-winning run with a solo homer.
RHP Christian Scott started out with two scoreless innings and then gave up a two-run double to 2B Ketel Marte in the top of the third.
Scott had scoreless innings in the top of the fourth and fifth and was taken out after the inning.
His final line was five innings, four hits, two runs, one walk and four strikeouts.
RHP Adrian Houser followed with two scoreless innings in the top of the sixth and seventh.
LHP Danny Young came in next in the top of the eighth and threw a scoreless inning.
Young picked up his second win of the year.
RHP Reed Garrett came on in the top of the ninth and had a scoreless inning for his third save of the season.
The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Friday, May 31 at home against the Diamondbacks at 7:10 p.m.
