The New York Mets signed reliever RHP Dominic Leone to a major league deal on Thursday and also activated RHP Justin Verlander off the injured list.
To make room for Leone on roster, catcher Omar Navarez was moved to 60-Day IL.
Leone pitched for the Texas Rangers Triple-A Affiliate earlier this year with a 1.59 ERA and 15 strikeouts with two walks in 11 1/3 innings.
He had a 4.01 ERA in 55 appearances with the San Francisco Giants last year.
His best year with the Giants was in 2021 where he had a 1.51 ERA in 57 games.
Leone has a 3.69 ERA and 373 strikeouts in 356 career major league innings.
