Mets Crushed By Brewers 10-0 After Carlos Carrasco Struggles

The New York Mets lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 10-0 this afternoon at American Family Field and dropped their record to 3-2.

RHP Carlos Carrasco started out well with two scoreless innings, but in the bottom of the third he ran into trouble after he gave up a lead-off walk to 2B Brian Turang who then stole second.

Carrasco then retired the next two hitters, but gave up a RBI single to DH Jesse Winker.

Carrasco's struggles continued in the bottom of the fourth after he gave up a two-out single to CF Garrett Mitchell and then a two-run homer to 3B Brian Anderson.

Carrasco had more troubles in the bottom of the fifth after he walked LF Christian Yelich and Winker and was then taken out.

His final line was four innings, five runs, four walks and four strikeouts.

RHP Tommy Hunter came in next and gave up a RBI single to RBI single to SS Willy Adames.

Hunter then walked 1B Rowdy Tellez and then gave up a RBI ground-out to catcher William Contreras 

Hunter walked Mitchell which loaded the bases and then gave up a RBI single to Anderson.

It all fell apart for Hunter after he gave up a grand-slam to Turang.

Hunter stayed in for the bottom of the sixth and threw a scoreless inning and was taken out after the inning.

His final line was two innings, five hits, five runs, two walks and one strikeout.

RHP Dennis Santana followed and threw a scoreless bottom of the seventh.

Infielder Luis Guillorme threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth.

The offense did nothing all game and managed only three hits.

The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Tuesday, April 4 at the Brewers at 7:40 p.m.
