In the top of the second, 1B Pete Alonso led off with a single and two batters later LF Mark Canha singled.
DH Daniel Vogelbach followed and broke out of his early season slump with a two-run homer.
After a scoreless top of the third, Lindor led off the top of the fourth with a hit by pitch and then Alonso followed with another single.
2B Jeff McNeil followed with a RBI single to tie the game.
Two batters later, Vogelbach drove in his third run of the game with a RBI ground-out and 3B Brett Baty followed with a RBI single.
The bats did not do much for the next two innings until the top of the seventh after catcher Tomas Nido led off with a single and then CF Brandon Nimmo reached on an infield single.
RF Starling Marte followed with a single to load the bases.
Nido then scored on a balk and then Lindor followed with a RBI ground-out.
Alonso followed with a RBI single.
LHP David Peterson had a rough start allowing six runs on seven hits in seven innings. Peterson gave up no walks and six strikeouts. He picked up his first win.
LHP Brooks Raley followed with 1.2 scoreless innings.
RHP Drew Smith came in next and got the last out in the bottom of the eighth.
RHP Adam Ottavino closed it out with a scoreless bottom of the ninth and picked up his second save.
The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Tuesday, April 18 at the Dodgers at 10:10 p.m.
