New York Mets catcher Omar Narvaez has been placed on the 10-Day injured list and will be return in 8-9 weeks due to a high-grade calf strain.

Navarez had hit well prior to the injury batting .286 with two RBIs.

Top prospect Francisco Alvarez will be getting called up in Narvaez's absence.

Alvarez has hit well in his short time in Triple A hitting .250 with two homers and four RBIs.

It will be interesting to see how Alvarez does now that he will be getting extended playing time.
