The New York Mets announced today that catcher James McCann has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a fractured hamate bone.
The team said he will undergo surgery and his recovery time is six weeks, which means he would probably be out until around the All-Star break.
Catcher Patrick Mazieka was called up from Triple-A to replace McCann on roster.
