Blackburn is 4-2 with a 4.41 ERA in 51 innings with 38 strikeouts in nine starts this year.
He started out well with 22 1/3 innings, but was then placed on the injured list on May 13th with a foot injury.
Blackburn returned last Friday and allowed four runs in five innings.
He is under team control through 2025 and will help fill a void in rotation without Kodai Senga and Christian Scott.
