New York Mets manager Luis Rojas announced after last night's game that RHP Taijuan Walker was selected to the National League All-Star Team team.
It's the first All-Star game appearance of Walker's career after nine years in the Majors.
He had his excellent firs half with a 2.50 ERA which is eighth in the NL.
Walker will be the only Met to go to the NL All-Star game in Colorado next week.
RHP Jacob deGrom was selected, but chose not to play to get ready for the second half and spead time with his family.
