Mets Option Khalil Lee, Patrick Mazieka and Sean Reid-Foley To Triple A

The New York Mets announced today that they are optioning OF Khalil Lee, catcher Patrick Mazieka and reliever RHP Sean Reid-Foley to Triple-A Syracuse to make room on the 26-man roster for 1B Pete Alonso, OF Kevin Pillar and RHP Seth Lugo who are all returning tonight. Lee struggled at the plate striking out in 13 out of 18 his plate appearances, but did well definsively and made some nice plays in centerfield. Mazieka had some clutch at-bats late in game off the bench as a pinch-hitter. Reid-Foley has done well out of the bullpen with a 1.98 ERA in 13.2 innings. He will most likely be called back up later in the season.
