Mets Acquire Billy McKinney From Brewers

The New York Mets acquired outfielder and first baseman Billy McKinney from the Milwaukee Brewers for minor league left-handed pitcher Pedro Quintana. The Brewers desiginated McKinney for assignment. McKinney hit .207 with three homers, six rbis and nine runs scored in 40 games for the Brewers. He hit .215 for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019. McKinney was a former firs-round pick and top 100 prospect so he has potential and upside. He will hopefully fill a void in a much depleted outfieder after Brandon Nimmo, Michael Conforto, Kevin Pillar, and Johneshwy Fargas have all gotten hurt.
