Taijuan Walker Goes on IL

New York Mets RHP Tijaun Walker was placed on the injured list this afternoon with left side tightness. He is one of 14 Met players on the IL. Walker came out after his last start after he pitched only three innings due to the left side tightness and he sad it had been bothering him in his last few starts. Now that he is on Il, a starter from the minor leagues will have to be called up to replace him. Fortunately, RHP Jacob deGrom is set to make a rehab start with St. Lucie at Single-A on Thursday and return to the big league club soon.
