The New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies 10-6 tonight for their second consecutive win and improved their record to 23-27. Two batters later, 1B Dom Smith drove in Nimmo with a RBI single. 2B Robinson Cano followed with a two-run double to bring Conforto and Smith. The bats went quiet after that for the new few innings until the top of the sixth when 1B Pete Alonso homered with one out and then LF Jeff McNeil and SS Andres Gimenez walked. Pinch-hitter Luis Guillorme lined out, but Nimmo came through with a two-out triple to tie the game. In the top of the ninth, Nimmo led off and delivered once again with the go-ahead homer. Conforto followed with a single and two batters later, Smith hit a RBI triple to bring in Conforto. Cano followed by hitting a two-run homer for his fourth RBI of the game,

RHP Seth Lugo had a difficult bottom of the first inning  due to poor command of his fastball after he gave up back-to-back-back homers to RF Bryce Harper, 3B Alec Bohm and SS Didi Gregorious and then later in the inning a RBI single to RF Adam Haseley. Lugo gave up another solo homer to Harper in the bottom of the second inning and an RBI single to 2B Jean Segura and was taken out in the middle of the second inning. His final line was 1.2 innings, 8 hits, 6 runs, 0 walks and 3 strikeouts. RHP Erasmo Ramirez came in next and threw 2.1 scoreless innings. LHP Chasen Shrieve followed and also threw 2.1 scoreless innings with no walks and three strikeouts. RHP Jeurys Familia threw 1.1 scoreless innings.
