Mets Crushed By Reds 12-0 After Myers and Pintaro Struggle

The New York Mets lost to the Cincinnati Reds 12-0 tonight at Great American Ballpark to drop their record to 32-40.

Mets RHP Tobias Myers made his return to the rotation and had a difficult outing allowing seven runs in 1 1 2/3 innings.

RHP Jonathan Pinataro came in next and did not fare much better allowing two runs in 3.2 innings.

LHP David Peterson followed and gave up three runs in three innings.

The Met offense was unable to come up with any runs wasting numerous scoring opportunities. They left the bases loaded in the top of the fourth and fifth and left two more runs stranded in the top of the sixth and three more in the top of the seventh.

They went 1-12 with runners in scoring position leaving 12 runners on base.

The Mets next game is tomorrow night, Tuesday, June 15 at the Reds at 7:10 p.m.
