The New York Mets claimed infielder Travis Blankenhorn off waivers from the Seattle Marners this afternoon this afternoon.
Blakenhorn has been added to the 26-man roster and will join the team tonight in Arizona.
Infielder Wilfredo Tovar was designated for assignment as corresponding roster move.
Blakenhorn was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the third round of the 2015 MLB Draft.
He hit .277 with 19 homers and 54 RBI between Advanced-A and Double-A in 2019.
Blakenhorn was 1-3 with a double in his only Major League appearance in 2020.
