The New York Mets announced prior to tonight's game that reliever RHP Sean-Reid Foley was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse. RHP Jacob Barnes was desiginated for assignment in a corresponding roster move.
Reid-Foley was outstanding before getting sent down with a 1.98 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 13 innings.
Barnes has had a difficult season with a 6.27 ERA and allowed six home runs in 18 innings.
Reid-Foley will help create more depth as another power arm to the Mets strong bullpen to go to late in games.
