Post Game: Dodgers 9, Mets 4

Tonight at Citi Field, the Mets (20-24) lost to the Dodgers (24-22) by the score of 9-4. 


Curtis Granderson had his first three-hit game in a Mets uniform, when he went 3-5 with a home run, single, and a double. 

Rafael Montero was not sharp tonight, surrendering five earned runs on seven hits in only 4 1/3 innings. Montero struck out four and walked four. 

The Mets loaded the bases in this game, tallying 22 runners left on base overall. 

Adrain Gonzales hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning, an inning where the Dodgers scored 9 of their 5 runs. 

Jose Valverde and Josh Edgin helped the Dodgers pad their lead in the top of the ninth when they surrendered three runs. 

Up next, the Mets turn to Jacob deGrom against the Dodgers on Tuesday at Citi Field.
