Need to Know:

Jenrry Mejia (3-0, 5.38 ERA) will start the first game for New York, followed by Dillon Gee (3-1. 2.51 ERA) on Saturday and Jon Neise (2-2, 1.82 ERA) will toe the rubber on Mother's Day.

Wimer Flores is expected to be promoted in time for Friday's game, but it is unknown whether he will be starting in place of the struggling Ruben Tejada or not.

The Mets are 1-0 against the Phillies this season. Their one win came back on Tuesday, April 29th before their April 30th game was rained out.

The Mets offense needs to desperately wake up if they want to climb back over the .500 mark for the season.

Juan Lagares has hit in 17 of 19 games this season.
