
Harvey said, "Of course, I won't do it unless I'm cleared to do it, but I want to pitch before the season's end."
For those of you who don't know, Matt Harvey had his Tommy John surgery on October 22, 2013. Average for a pitcher to recover and be at 100 percent is 11-12 months.
Harvey is scheduled to throw off a mound for the first time on June 10th.
According to Sandy Alderson, Matt Harvey is a "long term asset," and he needs to be 100 percent healthy by spring training 2015.
