Mets Lose to Braves 3-0 In Game 2 of Doubleheader To Close Out Regular Season

The New York Mets lost to the Atlanta Braves 3-0 this afternoon at SunTruist Park in the second game of a doubleheader in their final game of the regular season to finish up with a record of 89-73.

LHP Joey Lucchesi had a strong start allowing one run on three hits in six innings.

He gave up four walks with five strikeouts.

RHP Huascar Brazoban came on in the bottom of the seventh and allowed a two-run single to DH Marcell Ozuna.

RHP Adam Ottavino threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth.

The Met offense was held in check due to most of their starters sitting and had only three hits all game.

The Mets now look ahead to their National League Wild Card series tomorrow night, Tuesday, October 1 at the Milwaukee Brewers at 5:32 p.m.
