It all felt apart for Peterson in the bottom of the third after he allowed a RBI single to catcher Alexandro Kirk, two batters later a RBI triple to LF Davis Schneider.

Two batters later, Peterson gave up a RBI single to LF Joey Loperfido.

Peterson had a scoreless bottom of the fourth and was taken out with one out in the bottom of the fifth.

The Met offense got on the board in the top of the first after SS Francisco Lindor led off with a single and then LF Jesse Winker followed with a single.

Three batters later, CF Brandon Nimmo drove in Lindor with a RBI single.

The offense did not do much after that until the top of the seventh after pinch-hitter Jose Iglesias led off with a double and two batters later, pinch-hitter Tyrone Taylor walked.

Iglesias then scored on a passed ball.

The Met offense struggled all night with men on base going 1-8 with runners in scoring position leaving eight runners on base.
