Mets vs. Brewers Game 26 Recap

New York Mets RHP Noah Syndergarrd (Credits to MetsMerizedOnline.com)



The New York Mets lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 8-6 tonight and dropped their record to 13-13. RHP Noah Syndergarrd had another difficult outing allowing five runs on 10 hits with 3 walks and five strikeouts in five innings. RHP Robert Gsellman came in next and gave up one run in two innings. RHP Jeurys Familia gave up a run in the top of the eighth inning. RHP Edwin Diaz threw a scoreless top of the ninth inning.

The offense was held scoreless for the first two innings, but broke through with a run in the bottom of the third inning after LF Jeff McNeil scored on a wild pitch. SS Amed Rosario hit a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh inning. 1B Pete Alonso hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning. Rosario drove in another run with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning.

The Mets next game is tomorrow afternoon against the Brewers at 1:10 p.m.
