The New York Mets lost to the Texas Rangers 10-8 tonight and dropped their record to 24-32. RHP Jacob degrom got the start and had his second consecutive rough outing. Degrom allowed eight runs on 10 hits in four innings. This is the most amount of runs he has given up this year. He also allowed one and had two strikeouts. The Mets offense exploded for eight runs on 17 hits. 1B Lucas Duda hit a RBI single in the top of the first inning. CF Juan Lagares hit a home run in the top of the second inning. 2B Neil Walker and SS Asdrubal Cabrera hit solo homers in the top of the third inning. RF Jay Bruce hit a RBI groundout in the top of the eighth inning. DH Curtis Granderson hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth. Catcher Travis d'Arnaud added a solo homer in the ninth.
